A fun night out at the West End Bar was halted last night, after owners discovered the female toilets had been deliberately vandalised.
The popular bar on Glasgow Road, Blantyre had to close its doors during a busy Saturday evening after staff found to their disgust, that the sink unit had been ripped off the wall in the toilets. Considerable lengths had been gone to pull the two sinks away from the units with the place left flooded and unusable.
Owners commented on social media today, “Absolutely sick of people having ZERO respect for property that is not theirs… if this is how you treat others property I would hate to see what your house is like! Apologies to everyone who was in and had to leave early, we really didn’t want to close but we had no choice! Until further notice the ladies will be out of action, ladies will need to use the accessible access toilet in the bar. Our amazing plumber will get onto this asap and we’ll have the toilet reopened when sorted.”
The owners are now left counting not just the cost of repairs, but their lost revenue too.
