Dumped in the park…no, not a headline about teenage drama. This time is was some idiot who dumped a double bed mattress right at the entrance to the Kirkton Public Park at High Blantyre.
This was the scene before the weekend as any respect for others was set aside and somebody with low moral compass chucked away a mattress at the park. Why? When there’s a public recycling centre literally 2 minutes from there. Just when the park was looking rather nice.
We don’t believe for a second anybody in Blantyre could blatantly tip a mattress at a park entrance. Angry residents nearby called the council who uplifted it by the end of the weekend.
