School term is over and schools are now out for summer! South Lanarkshire Schools closed at 1pm today, Tuesday 27th June for 7 weeks.
Blantyre Primary Schools over the last week have been having their own separate celebrations for their P7 pupils saying goodbye to their school for the last time. There were tears from some pupils at the gates as they said goodbye to friends and teachers and joy from others, delighted to be off!
Pupils celebrated with balloons, gifts, parties and celebration services in local churches. Hope all children now on holiday from nurseries and schools have a wonderful summer.
South Lanarkshire Schools return on Wednesday 16th August 23 with teachers returning 2 days earlier on Monday 14th August 23.
