Some information has been released regarding the earlier accident on the M74 this afternoon.
A Police Scotland spokesperson commented: “Around 4.10pm, police received a report of a road crash involving several vehicles on the M74 southbound near J6. Emergency services are in attendance. We have a report of one man being injured and lanes 1 and 2 of the carriageway are closed.”
Significant queues formed at rush hour, tailing back beyond Raith to Bailleston. Despite people sending in pictures, we’ve chosen not to use a picture of the damaged vehicles or the actual scene.
We hope everybody involved is ok. The Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
