Thank you Jimmy

Attention turns to this month’s good causes. Our Supporters Group have been hearing about how this month’s donations are going to local good causes in the community, copied across here for extended awareness. We’ve donated a £50 Carrigans Voucher as a thank you to local man, Jimmy Small who recently cleaned up the Dalbeth Miners Memorial at his own time and cost.

Jimmy is elderly, a Blantyre man and the memorial itself, despite being in London Road Cemetery, remembers the Blantyre Catholic Miners who died in Blantyre Pit Disaster in 1877.

This award was made possible by the kindness of others and forms part of the incredible donations within the Simm Endeavour Fund. For full transparency on how that fund is being distributed, please see here: https://theblantyretelegraph.com/fundraising-2023-2024/

Further good causes have been supported this week. More on that soon.
