Crossbasket Castle have now updated their website with some further information about the forthcoming, exciting £15m expansion.
The construction of a brand new luxury spa, restaurant, hotel and entertainment venue has been at pace with an announcement that opening is scheduled for August 2024.
The project at Crossbasket Estate, High Blantyre expands beyond the current 5 star hotel with the addition of a further new hotel with 40 new bedrooms, a destination restaurant, eco-friendly lodges, and a first for Blantyre, a luxury spa! The spa will house a swimming pool, heat experience (sauna and steam room), four treatment rooms, relaxation areas, outdoor hydrotherapy pools, and its own designed Scottish-based product line.
Computer generated images have been released which show how the bedrooms, en-suites, reception area and restaurant will look when the works are complete.
The venue is set to have capacity for an additional 35,000 visitors each year and provide over 50 jobs for the local area, delivering a projected economic boost for the immediate area.
No expense is being spared with a view of leaving guests in awe.
The theme is back to an era of glam and sophistication and as you can see from the impression images, things will look very elegant indeed, with more than a hint of beautiful 1920s and 30s decor.
Outside a major revamp of the grounds is underway, sympathetically leaving existing trees and plants. The gravel road has been upgraded to tar, the carparks enlarged and a new, grander, safer entrance to the estate created. In the gardens, winding paths and viewing platforms have been formed and not forgetting lots of additional planting being done.
The expansion is set to put Blantyre further on the map. For those who simply like a night out with friends and family, you’ll be able to enjoy an immersive dining experience, with a stage, dance floor and cocktail bar for guests to enjoy incredible live music and entertainment seven nights a week. We confidently predict this is going to be very popular.
