Remembering James Clark (55)

It is with sadness we learned of the passing of local man James Clark. Sadly, after a long, difficult battle with cancer, James passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Monday 14th October 2024. He was only 55.

James has been surrounded and looked after by all his family throughout his battle, and despite them all now being heartbroken at the loss felt, they told us there is also relief that his pain and suffering is now over. He goes to join his Mum, Dad, and 3 brothers Joe, Pat & Con.

Hi elder brother John told us, “Rest in Peace James, we all loved you dearly Son”.

Funeral details are known. A celebration of James life will take place at SLC Crematorium on Friday the 25th October at 9.00am. All friends, current and past are very welcome to join in the family celebration of James life. Rest in Peace.

An update from John Clark, the brother of James Clark (who sadly passed away recently) “Hi folks, just wanted to give a little update regarding my brother James and the service at the crematorium.

As many of you may know James was quite a colourful character and liked his colourful clothes particularly tops and jumpers etc. As a family we will be honouring that about James by wearing something with a bit of colour to it, and we would welcome anyone else who wishes to do this, however each to their own in this regard.

Also, I have had many people approaching me regards details for James’ funeral including many people he knew from the Parkville and the Priory and other friends, and it has become obvious that as is normal sometimes in these situations, a lot of people feel that they may be imposing on the family by attending the celebrations in the Parkville restaurant. We as a family would just like to say that James would be absolutely delighted for all his friends from the Parkville and the Priory to come back to the Parkville to celebrate his life with his family. So please folks do not feel that you are imposing on the family, you are not. All of the family look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.

Thanks, John and the rest of the Clark Family”
