South Lanarkshire Council have announced the cancellation of the Rutherglen Christmas Lights Switch on.
The council issued a statement late this afternoon stating that due to Storm Bert coming in, the festive event on Sunday 24th November…..is unfortunately now off. It won’t be re-arranged. The decision was made with the interests of market stall holders, safety and for the welfare in mind of those who planned attending.
