There seems to be some confusion about whether Main Street has reopened or not.
As we posted last night, it HAS reopened following the storm damage to former Matt’s Bar building was attended to. However, by coincidence, roadworks are taking place on this same stretch. So now, there are temporary traffic lights set up, with traffic all still able to pass, but in a single lane only.
The extent of the roadworks is from the junction of Muir Street, back to Cemetery Road, pictured.
