Residents in Auchingramont Court, Hamilton had a lucky escape during Storm Eowyn, when the strong winds blew part of the building down.
The tall metal weather vane which is usually at the top of the steeple of the converted church, blew off and crashed down through the roof of the flats below! Authorities then closed off the road at Union Street to assess the damage amidst fears about the steeple itself. We hope all the residents are ok and hope the damage can be repaired soon.
