Schoolchildren, including pupils from Auchinraith Primary, Blantyre, have named the council’s newest gritters with quirky titles like Taylor Drift and Chilly Connolly. The winter fleet will be tracked online when it rolls out in October.
The initiative not only engaged young people in civic life but also provided a light-hearted boost for local communities as colder months approach. Well done to everybody involved!
