Bad news for commuters on the back roads! Following a road traffic accident at Newhousemill Road, the Newhousemill Bridge (the Wee Bridge) will be closed until Wednesday 25 March. Some significant damage was caused to the bridge forcing the entire closure of the road.
Repairs have been prioritsed but unfortunately will take 3 weeks.
A diversion is in place via High Common Road, A726 Strathaven Road, A725 Kingsway, A725 Expressway, B7012, Douglas Street, Sydes Brae (Blantyre), Parkneuk Road and Newhousemill Road.
