Police are seeking the assistance of the public in trying to locate a 15-year-old female missing from Glasgow.
Safaa Iqbal was seen around 5am in the Kincath Avenue area of Rutherglen on Sunday, 19 April, 2026.
There was a further sighting of her on Stonelaw Road, Rutherglen around 5.26am that same morning.
She is described as around 5ft 7 inches in height, with brown eyes and black hair. When last seen, she was wearing a black head scarf, black hooded top, black jogging trousers and carrying a black Nike backpack.
Extensive enquiries are under way and officers are checking for any relevant CCTV footage.
Officers are also linking in with public transport organisations in case she has taken a bus or train.
Sergeant Scott Bryson said: “This is very out of character for Safaa, she is usually in contact with family and friends and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her.
“I am appealing to the public to contact us if they think they have seen Safaa or have any information on where she may have gone. We continue to speak to family and friends for any additional information which could help us locate Safaa.”.
