Help a Local Mum Find Work or Volunteer Roles

A local woman is hoping the community may be able to help as she searches for her next employment opportunity — and in the meantime, she’s keen to put her time and experience to good use.

After being made redundant last year following an impressive 19-year career in financial services, she subsequently returned to employment for 11 months, but that position has now come to an end. While applications for new permanent roles are ongoing, recruitment processes can take time.

Rather than sit waiting, she would love to help people locally — ideally through paid work, although she is also willing to consider volunteering where somebody genuinely needs a helping hand.

She is an experienced mum of two teenagers, including a child with additional needs, and also has experience with emergency care.

She would be interested in opportunities involving:

❤️ Care and companionship
🧹 Cleaning and household help
🛒 Shopping and errands
🚗 Helping somebody get from A to B
🍲 Cooking and meal preparation
☕ Spending time with somebody who could use some company
🏠 General help and support around the home

She has her own car and is happy to travel locally. Although she does not currently hold a valid PVG, she previously had one while volunteering in schools and would be willing to explore obtaining a new one if required for a suitable position.

Perhaps you run a local business looking for a reliable employee? Maybe you know an elderly or vulnerable person who could use some practical help or companionship? Or perhaps a local organisation needs an extra pair of hands?

If you know of any suitable paid positions or volunteering opportunities locally, please comment below to get in touch.

A share could also help this post reach exactly the right person. ❤️
