Significant utility works have commenced at Douglas Street near the junction of Priestfield Street, High Blantyre. SGN are working to replace a gas main and have scheduled 66 working days, due for completion in mid July 23. Separately, similar work is also taking place within this duration eastwards at Main Street, near the Auchinraith roundabout.
Utility roadworks will commence at Kirkton, High Blantyre on 2nd April 2023. Work by Scottish Water to repair faulty equipment will last 5 working days and may disrupt drivers on the approach to the traffic lights at the cross on Main Street. Works are necessary and may potentially be concluded earlier.
Roadworks will be taking place this week at the EK Expressway on sliproad at Douglas Street. Work by Virgin Media is expected to start on Monday 27th March 2023 with cabling works expected to take 10 days. Access to the expressway will still be permitted with no need for diversions.
