Muir Street Resurfaced
Utility work in High Blantyre’s Muir Street and Nursery Place has been completed, and the carriageway is fully resurfaced. This busy route, especially during school run times, is now ready for increased traffic due to the new housing estate on the former Kirkton Care Home site following the roadworks completion.
Disruption on Glasgow Road
Glasgow Road in Blantyre will be closed from Monday, August 4th to Friday, August 8th for resurfacing between John Street and Forrest Street. Diversions are available via Auchinraith Road, Main Street, and others. Access for residents on affected streets like Elm Court and Church Street will be maintained.
