Loanend Road west of Blantyre will be closed from April 16 to April 17 for essential Scottish Water repairs. The closure affects the segment between Bardykes Road and Malcolmwood Farm, and diversions will be implemented via Bardykes Road, Glasgow Road, Hamilton Road, Flemington Road, and Loanend Road.
Recent fly tipping occurred at Loanend near Blantyre, with waste from a bathroom renovation discarded on Loanend Road, Cambuslang. A resident reported the debris, including paint tins and plasterboard. The council has been contacted for cleanup, while authorities examine CCTV footage to identify the responsible parties.
