Blantyre residents are looking forward to the opening of the brand new Family Shopper on Glasgow Road, tomorrow, Monday 25th October.
The new convenience store, which sells a huge variety of food and drink is located in the former Londis shop. It has been refitted out during the last few weeks and looks amazing!
We were invited down for a tour today, with thanks to owner David Agnew and impressed by the decor, packed shelves and large range and variety of whats on offer.
As the shutters come down on the adjacent Agnews Cafe, the new Family Shopper store has counters near the entrance, which has become “Agnews Food to Go” meaning the takeaway service can continue. However, the brand new cafe at the back will not be opening until Monday 1st November.
Blantyre Telegraph Supporters Group got an exclusive sneaky peek with photos of the new cafe earlier tonight and heard what the plans are for the old Agnew’s Cafe redundant shop.
David told us, “We look forward to welcoming everyone in to our Brand New Family Shopper Store and Agnews Food to Go on Monday 25th October. We thank you all for being so understanding during our full shop refurbishment. We cannot wait for you all to see the amazing work that has been carried out over the last few weeks, to allow a brand new modern store and café to come to Blantyre.”
Family Shopper opens tomorrow. Opening hours 7am – 10pm
A separate article about the post office will follow shortly.
