Well done Caitlin

On a recent Monday evening, we dropped by ‘D Dance Company’ in High Blantyre and momentarily interrupted their training with a little surprise.

Hard working, talented dance teacher Caitlin Hutchison runs the dance school and upon hearing the lengths she goes to keep costs down for the kids attending, we dropped in a little surprise of £50 cash, courtesy of our Simm Endeavour Funding. The award was simply to recognise kindness in the community and with a show coming up soon, perhaps to help a little with costs of the children’s props etc. Caitlin was directly nominated by others, keen to see her recognised for what she does.

Caitlin and her class were surprised and very appreciative. She humbly told us, “I’m so blessed & really grateful. Thank you to people who nominated CDC. It truly means so much.”

Throughout September we’re continuing such little surprises upon local Blantyre people and organisations. If you know of somebody or an organisation to be nominated, please do message us to let us know. Funding is limited, our decision final. Blantyre Telegraph of course primarily exists to help local good causes. Our fundraising efforts and awards can transparently be seen here: https://theblantyretelegraph.com/fundraising-2023-2024/
