Congratulations to local man, Sean Sweeney who completed running the London Marathon today!
Sean, originally from Blantyre turns 50 in June and managed to complete the full 26 miles in under 5 hours. Pictured here with wife Monica, there were medals all round, (including Monica for being a super coach!)
Sean was lucky enough to have enthusiastic family supporting him as “cheerleaders from the sidelines”.
Well done Sean! You’ll be ready for a refreshment or two tonight we’d imagine!
