You may have noticed prices are cheaper this month for many food items at ASDA.
“Rollback” is back and has slashed grocery and fuel costs as ASDA seeks to regain its former customer share. Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Marks & Spencer saw £4bn wiped off their share values as Asda declared an all-out price war, slashing grocery and fuel costs as it bids to win back customers.
Asda is aiming to make its business a powerhouse again. The strategy is certainly bold, but the key question is whether it will be enough to shift customer loyalty back in Asda’s favour.
