How utterly disgusting to see the see recently planted trees behind Auchinraith Terrace and Parkville Drive have been vandalised.
Such a shame for the surrounding community and volunteers who have helped beautify this area in recent times. A resident however, has photos of the vandalism taking place by boys in their early teens, which are being passed on to police.
This planting and other areas in and around Blantyre was part of an initiative by the Clyde Climate Forest Tree Warden Network with some of these trees planted only last month.
