Nineteen-year-old Hamilton author Rowan P is capturing readers with a unique blend of personal memoir and spine-tingling fiction.
Living with autism and anxiety, Rowan first turned to writing as a way to cope with overwhelming thoughts and to express emotions that were difficult to share out loud.
“Writing gave me a safe space to make sense of the world,” he explains to Blantyre Telegraph. “It shows that intense feelings can be turned into something creative and powerful.”
Rowan self-publishes all of his work, proving that a young writer can reach readers without a traditional publisher.
His heartfelt non-fiction titles include The Boy Who Felt Too Much and Living With the What-Ifs, which explore growing up autistic, managing anxiety, and finding small moments of hope.
He also delights horror fans with original stories such as Possessed Plushies and The Straw Man Sleeps—both arriving in their Halloween editions on 1 October.
These chilling tales mix eerie suspense with an emotional core that reflects Rowan’s own journey.
