Northern Lights Set to Dazzle (if the cloud clears!)

Stargazers in Lanarkshire enjoyed a stunning Northern Lights display, visible as far south as England. A remarkable photo by Shirley Ann King captures this natural phenomenon. Another opportunity to witness the aurora arises tonight, with the British Geological Survey raising the geomagnetic forecast to the highest level due to a solar storm.

New Spa Plans for Crossbasket Nursery Site

Crossbasket is planning to convert the closed Crossbasket Nursery in High Blantyre into a spa. The proposal includes six treatment rooms, changing facilities, and other amenities, with significant alterations to the existing layout. This latest plan is smaller than previous spa proposals and doesn’t include swimming pools. Planning approval is pending.

Armistice Day- Lest we forget

At 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, we commemorate the brave individuals who sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom. A moment of silence lasting two minutes is observed to reflect on their contributions during the First World War and all subsequent conflicts. We will remember them.

Remembering Andrew Pirrie

Andrew Pirrie’s funeral details are as follows: Receiving on Tuesday, 11th November at St Joseph’s RC Church at 6pm. The funeral mass is on Wednesday, 12th November at 10am, followed by cremation at South Lanarkshire Crematorium at 11am. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
