Here’s a great story! Well done to High Blantyre Pupils for winning the Euro Quiz 2024!
High Blantyre Primary School pupils; Millie Smith, Ava McDade, Fynn McIntosh and Alfie Lindner- Kelly represented their school in the South Lanarkshire Euroquiz competition, organised by the Scottish European Educational Trust (SEET) on the 21st of March.
The children worked hard as a team against 33 other South Lanarkshire Primary School Teams and won first place!!
Euorquiz is an annual project open to all P6 pupils across Scotland, where teams of four are selected to participate in a quiz on European affairs, culture, history, geography, languages, history, etc. The team led by their Class Teacher Lorna Gallagher, have been studying hard in school and at home as they prepared for this event and will now compete against schools across Scotland National Euroquiz finals in the McEwan Hall in Edinburgh on the 10th of June.
Head Teacher Kirsteen Helsby said “ I am so proud of these amazing children and what they have achieved, they have worked so hard and are a credit to the school and their parents. This is our first time entering the Euroquiz and we are so excited to have the opportunity to represent our school and South Lanarkshire Council at the National Finals in June.”
