Former Celtic goalkeeper John Fallon, a key member of the 1967 European Cup-winning squad known as the Lisbon Lions, has passed away at 84. A respected figure in Blantyre, he also owned Fallons Bar on Glasgow Road. Our condolences go out to his family during this difficult time.

Diversions for Hunthill and Bardykes Roads Closure
South Lanarkshire Council will close Hunthill Road and Bardykes Road for maintenance from July 21 to July 25, 2025. A full road closure will restrict access from Main Street to Glasgow Road.
